Korean skincare has always been a thing for the avid beauty junkies, but as of recently, and thanks to Tiktok it seems the love of K-beauty is back and more mainstream than ever! I’ve always said, the key to a flawless makeup look is beautiful glowing skin. If you’re trying to achieve that dewy model look Hailey Bieber so effortlessly flaunts then you’re going to want to add these viral korean skincare products to to your routine!
If you’re new to k-beauty you may find it a little confusing trying to figure out which products are worth the hype and exactly how to layer them. No worries, I learned, so you don’t have to!
Step 1
Oil Based Cleanser
Technically, this is j-beauty because it’s a japanese brand, but close enough! This oil cleaners melts literally melts all your makeup away without staining your washclothing or having to use a bunch of cotton pads. I personally don’t like using wipes because I think their rough on your skin with all the pulling and tugging.
This Kose Cleansing Oil is like a magic eraser with little to no friction. Put a small portion in your hands then rub it on your face and viola! Your makeup is gone!
Step 2
Water Based cleaner
Now that you have your makeup off it’s time to cleanse your face with a water based cleanser. I sometimes find that cleansers can be abrasive to my skin (and I wouldn’t consider myself to have sensitive skin). However, this Matcha Hydrating Foam Cleanser by B.LAB is calming on the skin and leaves my skin feeling hydrated without drying it out.
You want to make sure your skin is properly cleansed so that you can fully absorb all the products to come. I know this sounds like a no brainer, but the purpose of a double cleanse (oil then water) is so your pores are squeaky clean and ready for all the k-beauty goodness!

Step 3
Toner
Another viral product from 2022 I just had to try, and I must say it has truly lived up to the hype! Now, for those of you that are unfamiliar with AHA and BHA they are mild acids which would be considered a chemical exfoliant. Also, I would highly suggest when trying out new products to slowing incorporating each product one-by-one. That way you can see the results of each individually. This took a few weeks before I really started to see a difference in my skin, but WOW do I see a difference! My skin is visibly brighter and more vibrant!
This AHA, BHA, PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner by Some By MI is a great introduction for anyone just getting into AHA and BHA because it’s gentle enough for a newbie, yet effective enough that you actually see results! If you had to pick just one product on this list to try out my suggestion is this one!
Step 4
Essence
Unless you live under a rock I’m sure you’ve seen this product. This was the most popular korean skincare product of 2022. Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a serum that is used to hydrate the skin and lock in moisture retention.
PRO TIP; Your skin needs to be damp when you apply this essence otherwise it will not fully do its job. The skin can be damp from preferably a hydrating toner, but water works as well!
Step 5
Eye Cream
Ok, there’s very little things I’m picky about, but eye creams is definitely one of them! I like something thick that I really feel is moisturizing my under eye, because I’ll be damned if I get eye wrinkles in my 20’s!
This Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream is AMAZING! It’s replaced my old eye cream by Cerave. I also love that a little goes a long way, so this should last you easily 6 month if not longer!

Step 6
Moisturizer
Another fan fave this year. This Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is extremely moisturizing without leaving a greasy or thick residue.
Personally, I prefer this as more of a night cream than a day cream, but it’s definitely worth a try especially if you suffer from dry skin or sensitive skin!
Step 7
SPF
Whew, we finally made it to the last step! Last, but certainly not least is Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun this spf 50 is not *clap* letting *clap* the UV rays in… AT ALL. I live in sunny Florida, so I take my sunscreen very seriously. This is a cult favorite for a reason!
You may think, well it’s just a sunscreen how special could it be. Well, you may just have to try for yourself because after using this I now know no 2 sunscreen are alike!
